The official nail color of NewCAJE17 is any of the following.

  • Gold
  • Black & Gold
  • Green & Gold

No Dress Code

Please note that there is no dress code at NewCAJE. Many will be in casual clothes; others feel the need to dress more professionally. Participants may wear whatever  clothes they wish, but we ask that everyone be respectful of our pluralistic group.


Arriving at Regis

There is a map of the campus at the bottom of this email that will show you where the conference is being held. Park as close as you can to registration buildings and look for the signs. There will be signs directing you from the entrance to the campus and there will be campus safety available to give directions. You may be asked to move your car after you get settled.


Registration / Check-in

Please have your ticket and your ID ready when you go to check-in. There are two different days for check-in depending on your ticket. You should have received a copy of your ticket in your confirmation email and we resent it yesterday with notes about updates and add-ons.


Shabbat: Angela Hall lobby, Friday from 1:00pm to 4:00pm.

Main Conference: Student Union Building foyer, Sunday from 11:00am to 2:00pm.


If you arrive outside of those times please visit the conference office (8am - 6pm) or please call the office number (402) 765-8884.

Sched can be used without making an account but if you wish to an invite is being sent to your email. See the 'How To Use Sched' in the conference Sched page if you are new to the platform.  


Conference Meals

Shabbat meals will start with Friday night dinner and go until Sunday breakfast. Main conference meals run from Sunday night to Wednesday lunch.

  • Box Lunch on Sunday: Due to the transition between parts of the conference, Sunday Lunch has been made an add-on, which can be purchased from the conference extras link below.
  • Alternative Dining: There aren't any options walking distance from Regis but about 2 miles North there are dining options. CLICK HERE to view some of the options.
  • Alcohol: NewCAJE is not allowed to serve alcohol on the Regis campus.

  • Sunday Box Lunch ($25): Still taking orders till Wednesday.
  • Dorm Room Deposit ($36 per person): Pay for this ahead of time instead of at the registration / check-in table.
  • Half Century of Jewish Education: ($1+): On-campus intensive discussion with Cherie Koller-Fox.
  • Monday & Tuesday Lunch Discussions: ($0): Sign up for lunchtime discussion(s) with Cherie Koller-Fox. Limited seats available.
  • Dorm Linens: If you ordered linens before the deadline, they'll be available for you at the conference. If you did not choose to order linens before ordering closed, please bring a towel, bedsheet, blanket, pillow, and pillowcase.
  • Shuttles: For those of you who signed up for the airport shuttle a seperate email will be sent out to you directly.


Dorm Lodging

Dorm room information will be provided to you at check-in.

  • If you purchased linens they will already be in your dorm room.
  • The dorms are keycodes will be provided to you at check-in. 
  • Most of the dorm rooms share communal bathrooms. The bathrooms will be divided into female, male, and all-gender. The showers are private stalls and it is recommended to bring shower sheoes. 
  • Unfortunately, the venue was not able to procure AC units for all of the dorm rooms afterall. We have provided box fans for all of the rooms to assist with climate control. Fortunately, the weather this coming week is looking mild. 


Weather

The weather forecast shows seasonable summer conditions, highs mostly upper 70s to mid 80s, overnight lows in the 60s, with humidity increasing as the conference progresses.

There is light rain in the forecast so we recommend you take that into consideration when packing.
