About me
Alan (Jake) is the founder and President of the Flo Creed-Jacobson Initiative: flolights.org. Our mission is "To Help people of all backgrounds build confidence, optimism, resilience and self awareness through practical mindfulness education." We have a certified teaching team that has been bringing mindfulness to elementary school children and adults in rehabilitation centers for several years.He’s a proud father of two sons and a grandson. He has a background in psychology and marketing from Northeastern University and is also a certified mindfulness teacher, licensed massage therapist, and Reiki master. He is a Free Mason and Lead Elder with the Mankind Project. He is grateful to have volunteered with Boys to Men NE, Horizon’s For Homeless Children, MA Literacy Program and as a Hospice Volunteer. Alan’s dedication to mentoring/teaching mindfulness extended to Boston and Randolph Public Schools. He supports Frederick Douglass’ quote: “It is much easier to build strong children than to fix broken men.” Alan’s goal is to positively impact both children’s and adult’s lives through the efforts of the teachers and board member the Flo Creed-Jacobson while honoring Flo’s memory.
