"From Shul to Sea: A Jewish Walking Tour of Historic Boston "
Sunday July 26, 2026 9:00am - 1:00pm EDT
Come explore historic and beautiful downtown Boston on a 2.5-3 hour walking tour visiting iconic sites of both American history and local Jewish history. We will walk approximately 2-3 miles, starting at the Vilna Shul in Beacon Hill, covering highlights of the Freedom Trail, Black Heritage Trail, Walk to the Sea, and sites of Jewish interest like the New England Holocaust Memorial and hidden Jewish history in the North End. Depending on interest, we may even stop for pastries! Your private guide will be a local Jewish educator who has been giving historical tours in the greater Boston area since 2017.

Half Century of Jewish Education; An honest conversation about a life in Jewish Education
Sunday July 26, 2026 10:00am - 1:00pm EDT
This being the 50th Anniversary of CAJE/NewCAJE, we thought it would be interesting to talk frankly with each other about our professional careers. Looking back on what we have accomplished, are we proud of what we’ve done? Which ones of the ideas we tried worked and what didn’t go as well as we thought? How was it to work in the field? Would you do it again? What advice would you give to people working in the field today?
While this intensive is geared for folks who have been working many years or are retired, it is open to anyone interested in coming.
